TelecityGroup today proclaimed bullish outlook for the rest of its financial year, underscoring the trend for high growth in the aggregator community.
The company positions itself as a provider of carrier-neutral data centres in Europe, operating highly connected facilities in key cities. It has located data centres in places where separate networks that make up the internet meet and where bandwidth-intensive applications, content and information is hosted. TelecityGroup has a multi-year announced capacity expansion programme in Europe and already operates 27 data centres in prime city centre positions in Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt, London, Manchester, Milan, Paris and Stockholm.
How is aggregation a differentiator?
Colocation and managed hosting services delivery are only possible by taking responsibility for the combination of infrastructure and connectivity. In addition, TelecityGroup has built a number of tiered support services to accommodate business specific requirements. Further aggregation is available in the shape of security options, data management and disaster recovery options. And none of these invoke outsourcing or cloud computing as drivers or enablers.
We believe customers will increasingly turn to providers with portfolios of pre-configured combinations of products and services that come in completely flexible options. This type of ‘aggregation’ will be a critical go-to-market differentiator, as it offers lower risks and lower costs.
